Mohammad Abbasi, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon with Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute. He specializes in treating patients with diseases of the arteries, veins and lymphatic system. His clinical interest include aortic aneurysm repair, minimally invasive endovascular surgery, carotid arterial disease, peripheral arterial disease, disorders of the venous system and lower extremity wounds.
Dr. Abbasi completed his medical degree and undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University in New York. His post-graduate training was at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he completed his internship and residency in vascular surgery and served as chief resident.
He is a member of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and a candidate member of the Society of Vascular Surgery. His research projects have been published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery. Outside of clinical research, he is actively involved in device development with multiple patents pending. Dr. Abbasi is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi.
